Strengthening Pastors. Encouraging Faith.
Building Community.
Every ministry has a pulse.
Behind every sermon prepared, every prayer offered, every bedside visited, and every burden carried — there is a heartbeat. A pastor’s heartbeat.
Pastor’s Pulse exists to listen for that heartbeat.
How are you really doing?
What is driving your ministry right now — joy, fatigue, hope, discouragement, renewal?
Where does your spirit need strengthening?
This space is devoted to measuring and responding to the pulse of those who shepherd God’s people — so that life, courage, and spiritual vitality may be renewed in their service.
“That you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith”
— Romans 1:12
About Pastor’s Pulse
Bruce Floren’s journey of faith deepened at forty, when a renewed commitment to Christ led him into years of study, prayer, and theological exploration. He earned both his Bachelor’s in Christian Ministries and his Master of Theological Studies (Cum Laude) from Bethel University, studying under respected scholars including Dr. Jeannine K. Brown.
Today, Bruce serves as Spiritual Care Coordinator at MaryT Hospice in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. His ministry includes leading a congregation at Margaret Place and offering spiritual support to individuals and families across several assisted-living communities.
His writing grows out of this lived ministry—walking with people through transformation, hope, and the search for spiritual wholeness.
Pastor’s Pulse was born from a simple but urgent question:
How is the pastor’s heart?
